Teacher
I wonder sometimes who will teach my children. Who will empart the lessons I never knew I was learning. Who will teach them to split a mango and claim the bone so that they can have the ultimate prize of watching another person smile. Who will teach them to hold onto someone as tears collect, and a shoulder is left drenched, when physical touch is the only language you can share. To live wholly for the joy of others when years ago your heart was ripped out of your chest to leave only dark emptiness? Is that task left to me?
